01 Scope of This Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Blockcoders ("Blockcoders," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and safeguards information gathered through this website, theblockcoders.co (the "Site"). It applies only to data collected through the Site itself — for example, through our contact and inquiry form.
It does not govern data processed by Blockcoders on behalf of our clients within the systems, applications, or infrastructure we build for them. Those engagements are subject to the specific data processing terms agreed with each client under separate contract.
02 Information We Collect
We collect information in two ways: information you provide to us directly, and limited technical information collected automatically.
Information you provide. When you submit an inquiry through our Contact page, we collect your full name, work email address, and project details, along with your organization and phone number if you choose to provide them.
Information collected automatically. Our web server records standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type, and request timestamps) as part of normal operation. To protect the inquiry form from spam and abuse, we temporarily store a one-way cryptographic hash of your IP address — never the IP address itself — together with a timestamp, for up to one hour, purely to enforce a short submission cooldown.
03 How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected through the Site solely to:
- Respond to inquiries submitted through our Contact page and evaluate potential engagements;
- Protect the Site and our inquiry form from spam, abuse, and automated submissions;
- Maintain the security, stability, and proper functioning of the Site; and
- Comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not use information submitted through the Site for advertising, and we do not sell, rent, or trade it to third parties.
04 Third-Party Services
The Site relies on a small number of third-party services to function:
- Google Fonts — used to load the typefaces used across the Site. Your browser may connect directly to Google's servers to retrieve font files.
- Google reCAPTCHA — used on our Contact page to distinguish legitimate inquiries from automated spam. reCAPTCHA analyzes interactions with the form and may collect hardware and software information, which Google processes in accordance with its own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
These providers act as independent data controllers for the technical information their services collect. We encourage you to review Google's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle that information.
We do not use third-party advertising networks, analytics trackers, or social media pixels on the Site.
05 Cookies & Similar Technologies
Blockcoders does not set first-party tracking or advertising cookies on the Site. Google reCAPTCHA and Google Fonts may set their own cookies or use similar technologies as part of their normal operation; these are governed by Google's own policies rather than ours, and are only loaded on pages where those services are used.
06 Data Retention
Inquiries submitted through our Contact form are delivered directly to our engineering leadership by email and retained only as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry and maintain business records, after which they are deleted or archived securely. The hashed IP address used for spam prevention is automatically discarded after one hour and is never linked back to a submitted inquiry.
07 Data Security
We apply reasonable technical safeguards to protect information submitted through the Site, including transmitting form submissions over encrypted connections, validating and sanitizing all submitted data, and restricting the Contact form's spam-prevention storage from direct public access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to us over the internet.
08 Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of personal information you have submitted to us, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
09 Children's Privacy
The Site is intended for business and institutional audiences and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18.
